Our Expectations
To ensure that our Hosts' and our Students' experience is a success, we kindly ask our Hosts and home to must meet these requirements.
Be Responsive
Responding quickly when students send you a request shows that you are an attentive and reliable family. We ask our families to accept or decline Students' requests with 72 hours.
Accept applications
Understandably, no Student likes to receive rejections.
We therefore expect, if your calendar indicates that you are available, that you will refuse a student because your plans have changed. Please make sure that your calendar is up to date...
Avoid Cancelations
We take cancelations very seriously and ask all Hosts to avoid canceling on Students. Students will have been dreaming about staying with your family for weeks if not months and any cancelation will naturally cause great disappointment.
Remember also that travel arrangement are already made to join your family! Cancelation for confirmed students can only be accepted in the event of extenuating circumstances.
Get Positive Feedback
Students like to know they will be taken care of, no matter which family they choose. At the end of each stay, students will review their experience with you as a Host. This review is obviously confidential and only visible to other prospective students.
Hosts who get great feedback tend to focus on the following: The accuracy of their profile, the tidiness of the House, demonstrate a genuine interest in the Student's experience and a willingness to make their stay unforgettable.
As a Host, you will also have the chance to review your experience with your Student on various factors: their level of integration in your family life, their level of communication, their courteousness, etc.
Your feedback ensures that our Students are behaving appropriately and respecting the Rules of the Program. When issues do arise, Students are not allowed to send future Host applications.
